Derek Prescott ARPS has been a photographer for over 30 years (full time for the past 22 years), using 35mm SLR cameras – both film and digital, and has developed the wide range of photographic techniques required for a variety of assignments. These include film and location work, portraiture, wedding and social photography, commercial photography and magazine and book publications.

He has an extensive collection of landscape photographs available for printing up to A2 size on archival quality papers. These include the panoramas, which are becoming increasingly popular.

Important photographic commissions include being the official photographer at the funeral of the late Duke of Argyll for the family archives; unit stills photographer on various films, including “Man Dancin’” directed by Norman Stone, “The Walk” by Murray Watts and “The Accidental Activist” directed by Andy Hunt; portrait work with Sally Magnusson for magazines and publications; coverage of international highland games events; and numerous commissions for actors, musicians, artists and the BBC. Magazine commissions have been completed for clients in the UK, Japan, Iceland and Canada.
